December 27th i went to the pediatric cardiologists. There i got an Echocardiogram done. An Echocardiogram is like an ultrasound that they do on your heart, chest, and upper stomach. The Echocardiogram lasted about thirty minutes. After they were done with that another doctor came in and gave me my heart monitor. He showed me where to put the electrodes on and how to turn it all on. There were two wires that connected to the electrodes that then plugged into the little monitor. Since then I have to wear it for at least thirty days. If the doctors don’t get enough information in the thirty days then, i will have to wear it for another thirty days. The glue stuff that is on the electrodes can irritate my skin and so I have to put cream on the spots so it relieves the sting after taking the electrodes off. If i don’t put anything on after taking the electrodes off then little sores appear and they really hurt. I haven’t had any sores except for one that started to appear but I was able to put cream on it so it didn’t get bigger. About a week and a half after having my heart monitor, my heart acted up. I pushed the record button and it recorded my heart. Later that day while i was at home, my monitor started making a crackling noise. I looked down at the monitor and there were black bars going across the screen. It stopped then beeped and reset itself. I lost the recording and didn’t get to send it to the doctors. A week later,my heart acted up but the same thing happened and I lost the recording again, except for this time the monitor just wouldn't turn on. I haven’t had anything to send to the doctors so most likely I will have to wear the monitor for another month. I really dont want to but i dont really have much of a choice.
